1. Pre-Operation Inspection:

  • Conduct a thorough walk-around inspection of the truck before starting your day. Check for visible issues such as tire pressure, exterior damage, and any loose or damaged components.

2. Hydraulic System Check:

  • Examine the hydraulic cylinders, hoses, and connections for any signs of leakage. Address any leaks promptly by repairing or replacing seals and affected hydraulic components as needed.

3. Lifting and Towing Equipment Inspection:

  • Inspect all lifting and towing equipment, including the boom, winch, and any associated parts, for damage or detachment. Ensure that all components are securely attached and functioning correctly.

4. Lubrication:

  • Follow the maintenance schedule to lubricate all designated lubrication points on the truck. Note that hydraulic cylinders’ pistons should not be lubricated to avoid attracting dirt and debris.

5. Winch Maintenance:

  • Once a month, fully extend the steel wire rope on the hydraulic winch and clean it thoroughly with machine oil to prevent rust and maintain smooth operation.

6. Hydraulic Fluid Check:

  • Ensure that the hydraulic oil used meets the vehicle’s specifications. Regularly check the oil level and condition. For optimal performance, use only the specified hydraulic fluid.

7. Hydraulic Oil Replacement:

  • For Dayun Aopuli tow trucks, replace the hydraulic oil within six months of initial use. Monitor the oil condition and replace it if it becomes dirty or degraded. Do not exceed a one-year interval between changes.

8. Adding Hydraulic Oil:

  • When topping up hydraulic oil, operate the gear pump at a low speed. Cycle the telescopic cylinder, boom cylinder, and swing cylinder 2-3 times. Rotate the winch back and forth for about two turns. This procedure helps expel air from the hydraulic system and ensures proper fluid levels. Maintain the oil level between the upper and lower marks on the dipstick and use a filter with a precision of at least 25 microns.

9. Cleaning the Multi-Position Valve:

  • To clean the multi-position valve, remove the relief valve with a 30mm open-end or spanner. Cover the opening with a clean cloth to minimize spillage. Clear any debris from the area, use a cross screwdriver to press and retract the internal valve core multiple times, and add a small amount of hydraulic oil to flush out impurities from the small holes.

By adhering to these daily maintenance practices, you can enhance the reliability and extend the service life of your tow truck. Regular upkeep ensures that the vehicle remains in optimal condition, reducing the risk of breakdowns and maintaining its performance for critical operations.
