First: Neglecting Maintenance as the Vehicle Ages

This can damage the tow truck because it increases wear on the steering system’s ball joints and tie rods. For vehicles with power steering, turning the wheel to the limit causes the power pump to output maximum fluid flow to the steering gear, increasing the internal oil pressure and temperature, which can lead to damage or leaks.

Many drivers accelerate and brake hard. Two-in-one tow trucks use either disc or drum brakes. Disc brakes generate braking power through friction between the brake pads and disc, and brake pads are wear items. Frequently stomping on the brakes can significantly shorten the lifespan of the brake pads. For drum brakes, frequent hard braking can cause overheating and brake failure, compromising safety. Sixth: Continuing to Drive After the Fuel Warning Light Is On

When the fuel warning light of a tow truck turns on, it means the fuel tank is almost empty. Experienced drivers know that the truck can usually travel several dozen kilometers with the remaining fuel. Many modern vehicles have fuel pumps installed at the bottom of the fuel tank, relying on fuel for lubrication and cooling. If the fuel level is too low, the fuel pump cannot be properly lubricated and cooled, easily causing damage to the pump.
