The truck-mounted crane is outfitted with multi-way valve components. In an effort to enhance work efficiency, the functionalities of the multi-way valve are constantly undergoing refinement and improvement. Presently, the truck-mounted crane is furnished with the most advanced multi-way valve available in China, which enables bidirectional operation, alteration of working procedures, and the seamless completion of each working link. Generally, each truck-mounted crane is equipped with two multi-way valves to facilitate the smooth execution of the lifting operation.
It becomes evident that the maintenance and adjustment of the multi-way valve of the truck-mounted crane have a direct bearing on the outcome of the lifting process.
Consequently, it is imperative that we undertake the appropriate maintenance and adjustment of the multi-way valve. The multi-way valve constitutes a crucial component. The high-pressure oil pumped by the oil pump is directed into each working system via the multi-way valve. For instance, the extension and retraction of the outrigger cylinder and the support leg cylinder of the vehicle-mounted crane, the extension and retraction of the lifting arm cylinder, the extension and retraction of the boom push-pull cylinder, the left and right rotation, and the lifting of heavy objects all contribute to making the truck-mounted crane more stable and safer during usage.
On the right rear of the multi-way valve, there exists an adjustment screw specifically designed for regulating the pressure of the multi-way valve.
The detailed method is as follows: There are two nuts placed side by side. The inner one serves as the lock nut, while the outer one is the pressure adjustment nut. A clockwise rotation leads to an increase in pressure, and a counterclockwise rotation results in a reduction in pressure. Once the pressure has been adjusted, it is essential to secure the nut using the lock nut. Generally, random adjustments are not advisable. Typically, the adjusted pressure is set at 14MPA.
Let’s delve deeper into the significance of this adjustment process. The precise control of pressure within the multi-way valve is critical for the optimal performance and safety of the truck-mounted crane. If the pressure is too low, it may result in insufficient force for the various cylinders and mechanisms, leading to suboptimal lifting capabilities or unstable operations. On the contrary, if the pressure is set too high, it can potentially cause excessive stress on the components, accelerating wear and tear and increasing the risk of component failure.
For example, when adjusting the pressure for the extension and retraction of the outrigger cylinder, an incorrect pressure setting could lead to the outriggers not fully extending or retracting, compromising the stability of the crane when it is in operation. Similarly, for the lifting arm cylinder and boom push-pull cylinder, improper pressure adjustments could affect the smoothness and accuracy of the lifting and positioning of the load.
It’s also important to note that during the adjustment process, one must ensure that the equipment is in a safe and stable state. Before making any adjustments, it is advisable to refer to the manufacturer’s guidelines and specifications to obtain the correct pressure range for the specific model and application of the truck-mounted crane.
In addition, regular inspections and maintenance of the multi-way valve are essential to detect any potential leaks, damage, or abnormal wear. Any signs of malfunction or deviation from the expected performance should be promptly addressed to prevent potential safety hazards and operational disruptions.
In summary, the correct adjustment and maintenance of the multi-way valve of the truck-mounted crane is a meticulous task that requires a combination of technical knowledge, adherence to safety protocols, and a careful approach. By ensuring the proper pressure settings and the overall integrity of the multi-way valve, the truck-mounted crane can operate efficiently and safely, fulfilling its designated tasks with reliability and precision.
